April Favourites

How is April already over? This year is going by way too fast. I am however very excited about the spring weather we're finally getting! I could do without all the rain, but at least it's not snow anymore! And with spring comes lots and lots of coral in my beauty routine! Here are some of my favourite products from the month of April!

Smashbox Studio Pop Ultimate Palette // First is this amazing palette that I picked up this month. I've been using the eyeshadows in it nearly every day since I bought it, and have been absolutely loving the blushes as well! I could rave about this palette all day long, but if you'd like to read more and see tons of photos and swatches, check out my review I did in parts 1, 2, and 3!

Elf Eyebrow Kit in Medium // I just got this about a week ago but I already love it! I've desperately been in need of a new eyebrow filler since the eyeshadow I've been using is almost gone and has since been discontinued, so I picked this kit up from ELF and it's fantastic! The tinted wax is great at filling in the gaps in my brows and shaping them, and the powder helps set everything into place! This doesn't fade or smudge at all throughout the day and keeps my brows looking great!

Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Coral Twist // I love coral lip products, especially in the springtime, which is why I recently bought this gloss balm in a coral shade! I love how easy this pencil is to apply to the lips, and the subtle coral colour it gives my lips is lovely. I also love that I can build up the colour to be a brighter coral if I want to! This product is really light and moisturizing on the lips as well and is just a really great low maintenance, everyday lip product. I reviewed and swatched it here!

Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya // I am so in love with this lip butter. It has constantly been on my lips since I got it and I couldn't imagine not having it in my life. It gives my lips a hint of a peachy-pink colour and wonderful shine. I could seriously talk about how much I love this lip butter all day long, so I won't bore you. It's wonderful. See my review and swatch post here!

Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in 06 // This is a product that was on my wishlist for this month and I am so glad I bought it. It's a gorgeous hot pink lipstick. It's perfect for a bold lip colour for spring and summer! I love the formula of these lipsticks too! See my swatches and review here!

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy // My love of coral for the spring isn't just for my lips, I love coral nail polish too! I just got this nail polish last week but it's one I've had my eye on for quite a while and I'm so happy to finally have it in my collection. This polish is so perfect for summer. It's insanely bright (the photo doesn't do it justice) but it's so, so pretty. I created nail art using this polish which you can see here!

OPI I Eat Mainely Lobster // This is another new polish to my collection and I believe it's my favourite coral in my collection. It's more red than a lot of my other corals but I think that's why I love it so much. I love how it looks with my complexion and the subtle shimmer in it gives off the prettiest shine. See my NOTD of it here!

What were some of your favourite products this month? I'd love to know!

This is the makeup I wore yesterday and I really loved how it came out so I thought I'd share it here! I really love mixing neutral colours on the eyelid and then adding a pop of colour on the lower lashline. For this look I used a NYX Slide On liner that I just bought and paired it with golden and bronze shades from my Naked2 palette! I'm so in love with how this look turned out! I know I'll be recreating this quite often.

Sally's Beauty Supply Mini-Haul!

I went to Sally's the other day with the intention of buying some nail glue so I could apply my nail charms I recently bought, but as always with Sally's, I bought more than the 1 thing I needed. They were having a sale on nail polish that totally drew me in. All nail polishes were buy 2 get 1 free, and on top of that their China Glaze polishes were on sale for 2 for $10! So I got 3 China Glaze polishes for only $10! Then I got the nail glue I needed and a nail buffing block.

I'm pretty sure before this trip to Sally's I only had 1 China Glaze polish in my collection! The shades that I got are Flip Flop Fantasy, Celtic Sun, and Rich & Famous. I've been eyeing Flip Flop Fantasy for a while, and I've recently been looking for a neon yellow polish for my collection as well. And you can never have too many medium creamy pink nail polishes.

ELF Haul!

I recently made an order from ELF (eyeslipsface.com) when they were doing a 50% off sale and got a bunch of goodies! There was a coupon code you could enter at the checkout to get 50% off your entire order! So instead of everything being (the already incredibly cheap) $1 and $3, I got these products for either $0.50 or $1.50!

The first product I got is a cream eyeliner. I'm a liquid eyeliner girl, and have been for 5-6 years. But I've heard a lot of amazing things about cream or gel eyeliners too and I wanted to give one a try! So I decided to get this ELF one since it's so inexpensive it wouldn't be a big deal at all if I ended up not being a fan. But I tried it today and so far I quite like it!

The next product, and the reason for me making this order, is the Eyebrow Kit in Medium. For the past few years I've been using a brown eyeshadow in my collection to fill in my brows, but the eyeshadow is almost gone and the company has since discontinued that line of shadows! So after hearing some great things about ELF's Eyebrow Kit I decided to get one to try out! I've only used it once now but I really like it! The colour isn't too dark or too light for my brows. I also like the combination of the tinted wax and powder!

I also got one of ELF's Studio blushes. These blushes have been raved about in the beauty community so I finally gave in and picked one up. I got it in the shade Mellow Mauve. It's a really natural colour but it's so pretty on. It's not too dark for my fair skintone and gives my cheeks a natural glow!

I got a few brushes/tools in my order as well. I picked up the Studio Blush Brush. The brush is much smaller than I thought it would be and it's kind of flat, but it does apply blush quite nicely. I'm not sure if this will become my everyday blush brush or not, but if I don't use it for blush I can use it for contouring and highlighting! The bristles are really soft as well and not scratchy one bit! I got one of these for my mom as well since she was wanting a new blush brush too!

Since I got the cream eyeliner I figured I'd get an Angled Eyeliner Brush as well since the brush that comes with the eyeliner didn't look like it'd be the best. I'm so glad I got this! I applied the cream eyeliner today and it was one of my first experiences with cream eyeliner, but this brush made it so much easier! It has a very fine point so it was great at making precise lines!

I got a Eyelash & Brow Wand (or a spoolie as I call it). I didn't have one in my collection and for $0.50 I thought I'd just get one!

And last, I got a Nourishing Cuticle Pen. I've been wanting to get a cuticle oil for a while but wanted something easy and not messy to apply. This pen has a tip just like a marker and makes application so easy!

Overall I'm super impressed with these products so far! I tried them all out for the first time and I could easily see many of them becoming part of my daily routine. And with the 50% off code this entire order was only $10 (not including shipping)! Amazing!
