Nail of the Day: Think Pink

Today's NOTD is one of the polishes I recently ordered from Forever 21. It's Love & Beauty nail polish in Think Pink. This nail polish is $3.80 CAD which I think is a fantastic price for a good nail polish.

Think Pink is a gorgeous creamy hot bubblegum pink nail polish. This took 2-3 coats which is pretty good for a neon. I got this since I've been eye-ing Essie's Boom Boom Room and I thought this would be a good substitution since it's half the price of Essie polishes.

On the bottle they say the polish is just called "Neon Pink" but when I ordered it online they called it "Think Pink" so I'm not sure why they did that. I noticed the names on the bottles often describe the colour of the polish, whereas online the polishes usually have a name.

Overall I'm really impressed with the quality of this polish and can't wait to try the others I ordered!

Collective Haul (Forever 21 + H&M)!

I've done a little bit of shopping over the past couple of weeks and thought I'd put together a little collective haul! It consists of things I ordered online from Forever 21 on Canada Day when they did free shipping, and a couple things I picked up yesterday at H&M! Here's what I got!

The first thing I got from Forever 21 is this cat print makeup bag! I've needed a new makeup bag for quite a while now and I couldn't pass this one up. So cute!

Next I got this compact mirror. It's always nice to have a mirror to keep in your purse and the print on this one is absolutely adorable. And it was on sale for $0.99!

I also got some nail polishes! I only had 1 Forever 21 nail polish before this which I haven't even tried yet, but they had so many gorgeous colours available and for only $3.80 each I had to get some! The colours I got are: Neon Orange, Think Pink, Pot of Gold, Pink Icing, and Babyface!

And the last thing I got from Forever 21 is this polka dot paddle brush. This was on sale for $0.99 too!

Onto the things I picked up yesterday at H&M now! First I got this adorable cat iPhone case. I was so happy to see that they were selling cases for the iPhone 4, since it's so hard to find them in stores since the iPhone 5 came out! And this was only $6.95 too which is a great deal!

I also got this khaki coloured crop tee! I've been wearing crop tops with skater skirts all summer, and at $6.95 I couldn't pass this one up. It's so comfy and cute!

And last, but most definitely not least, I got this cat print dress at H&M! This dress cost $29.95 which is a fair price for sure! I absolutely love the print on this. I'm obsessed with it. And the dress is a bit of a thicker material so it'll be a dress I'll definitely wear into the fall and winter with tights as well!

So those are all the things I've picked up in the past couple of weeks! I've gone quite cat crazy, haven't I? I just can't help myself!

Nail of the Day: Neon Ombre

I finally got around to buying some makeup sponges so I can now do ombre/gradient nails! I can't believe I waited so long to get some! So the first manicure I did with them when I bought them was this neon ombre manicure!

I've been loving neon polishes this summer so I love how this manicure turned out. I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On as a base, and then used China Glaze Celtic Sun, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Sun Kissed, and China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy to create this ombre look.

I'll definitely be doing some more ombre manicures in the future! They're so pretty and super easy to do!

Mini TopShop Clearance Sale Haul!

Last time I was in Toronto I went into TopShop only to find out that they were having their semi-annual clearance sale! I was in the city to shoot a concert that night so I couldn't buy much since I'd have to carry it in my bag, but I did pick up 2 things!

The first thing I got is this polka dot crop top tee! It's very baggy and so comfortable. In the past I haven't been very comfortable wearing crop tops but this year I've been loving them to wear with skater skirts! Above is an outfit of the day I posted on my instagram of how I wore it one day!

The other thing I bought is one of their lipsticks! I've been wanting to try out TopShop's makeup line for a while so I picked this up on sale when I had the chance!

The shade of lipstick I got is Pillow Talk. It's a light creamy nude-pink that is a really pretty subtle lip colour!

The formula of this lipstick is super creamy and moisturizing on the lips! I also love the tube it came it, it's gorgeous. I definitely will be picking up more of these lipsticks in the future!

Essie Haul!

I recently made my first purchase ever on NailPolishCanada.com. If you live in Canada this is such a great site to buy nail polish. They have new and old collections, they sell tons of different brands, and free shipping on orders over $25 (or $3 flat rate for orders under $25 which is still great)! I have had my eye on the Essie Resort 2013 Collection so I got a few polishes from it, as well as another Essie polish I've been wanting!

Before this purchase I had only owned 2 Essie nail polishes! Which is surprising considering my collection is nearing 100 polishes. I don't know why I don't have more of them! But my collection will only grow from here!

The colours I got are First Timer, In The Cab-ana, Under Where?, and Van D'Go. The 3 on the left are from the Resort 2013 Collection and Van D'Go I believe was released with the Spring 2010 collection.

All of these polishes are cream finishes, which is my favourite nail polish finish. First Timer is a pale green polish that's brighter than a mint green, but lighter than a true grass green. It's really unique and beautiful! In The Cab-ana is a nice aqua blue and I didn't have a polish this colour in my collection so I had to get it! Under Where? is a pastel lavender that is slightly brighter than your average pastel. And Van D'Go is a lovely pastel peachy pink (and we all know how much I love my peachy-pinks).

I absolutely love these four colours and they make up some pretty gorgeous colour combinations as well!

June Favourites!

June was a really good month makeup-wise for me. Since I now have a job I was able to splurge a bit more on some products I've wanted and I've loved everything I've gotten recently! Here are my favourite products from June!

1. Rio Rumberry Triple Moisture Body Cream (Bath & Body Works) // I picked this body cream up at the B&BW semi-annual sale for only $4 and it is seriously fantastic. I put it on my arms and legs after I shower and it has a lovely scent and makes my skin super soft! It absorbs really quickly into my skin as well and leaves no greasy residue. I will definitely be buying this cream in more scents in the future! (Hauled)

2. CoverGirl 3 in 1 Foundation // I just realized that I also put this foundation in my May Favourites but I guess I just love it that much! As you can see, I've already used up most of it. This foundation is a great foundation, especially for the summer. It has SPF 20 in it and has great lasting power. The coverage is medium-full which I prefer and it makes my skin look fantastic!

3. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder // I picked this up this month and have seriously been loving it. It's a very finely milled powder and does a great job of mattifying my face without making it look cakey at all. It's light on the skin and looks very natural!

4. OPI Rainbow Connection // I found this nail polish for 50% off at Trade Secrets this month and I'm so glad I got it. It's rainbow glittery goodness. (NOTD)

5. OPI Red Lights Ahead...Where? // This is such a gorgeous red nail polish. It's the perfect summer red since it's brighter than the average red nail polish! I currently have this on my fingers and toes too! (NOTD)

6. Julep Martha // This came in my June Julep Maven box and it is such a lovely creamy pale pink nail polish! I loved wearing this with OPI Rainbow Connection too! (NOTD)

7. Maybelline Vivids Lipstick in Shocking Coral // I've only had this for about a week but I love it so much already. It's a gorgeous bright pinky coral, is moisturizing and comfortable on the lips, and lasts for hours. And I love the colour of the tube! What's not to love? (Hauled)

8. MAC Flamingo Lipstick (All About Orange Collection) // This is my first MAC lipstick and I honestly couldn't have picked a better colour. It's such a pretty light coral lipstick that I've been wearing almost daily. (Swatches/Review)

9. MAC Royal Sunset Blush (All About Orange Collection) // I bought this when I bought Flamingo lipstick and this is also my first MAC blush! It's a beautiful light peachy coral that gives such a nice colour to the cheeks. I love it! (Swatches/Review)

10. Maybelline Color Tattoos // I've become addicted to Color Tattoos this month. I finally bought my first one this month and very shortly after I picked up 2 more. The shades I have are Bad To The Bronze, Barely Beige, and Bold Gold. They're so pigmented and smooth and long lasting, I love them! (Swatches/Review)

11. Aqualillies for Tarte Eye & Cheek Palette // I got this from Sephora this month and it's literally all I've worn on my eyes and for my highlight. I've also used the blush and bronzer in here a handful of times but my main loves are the eyeshadows and the cheek highlight! I don't think I've touched my Naked2 palette since I got this and that says a lot (I still love it though of course). It's my perfect summer palette! (Swatches/Review)
