Goals for the New Year

“2015 2014 was a great year for me. A lot happened! I interned at Flare Magazine, I graduated from college, and I did my first big design job being the graphic designer for Buffer Festival 2014. I also got to travel to the USA to visit some friends and I went to quite a few concerts and events here in Toronto! I'm hoping 2015 brings me just as many great opportunities and memories!

Today I thought I'd share with you some of my goals for 2015. I hate the term "new years resolutions" because to me they always end up as unrealistic things that never end up happening (if they work for you though, that's great)! I prefer to set some more realistic goals for myself and then I can cross those goals off my list as they get accomplished. So here are my goals for the new year!
  • Get a job (or do more freelancing) in graphic design.
  • Do something different with my hair.
  • Create a redesign for my blog.
  • Travel to New York City.
  • Read 12 books.
  • Reorganize and declutter my makeup collection.
  • Clear out my wardrobe of clothing I no longer wear.
  • Become more confident bare-faced.
  • Scrapbook for the entire year (I'll be doing a post about this soon!)
  • Take more photos.
  • Drink less Coke Zero and more water.
  • Keep up with a good skincare routine.
  • Wash my makeup brushes once a week.
  • Create a blogging schedule and stick to it.
Those are all the goals I have at the moment. Some of these might change, or more may get added throughout the year, but I feel like what I have is quite realistic for the most part which will make me feel all the more accomplished at the end of 2015 if I've done most of them!

What are your goals for 2015? Do we share any similar goals? Let me know below!

  1. I made a post about mine (I don't have as many), but the biggest one is to get through treatment and try to feel better about myself in general.

  3. Great goals! You can do it!
First, I'm excited to see how you do on your reading challenge :) and second, the blogging schedule thing- it makes my life so much easier! I was surprised. Most of my problems with blogging have to do with not knowing what to post. If I have a schedule, it's easy to stick to it.

    1. I'm excited about my reading challenge too! And I'm hoping a schedule will help me stay consistent in my posting :). I enjoyed doing Blogmas a lot so I think a schedule will push me to create great content for my blog!

  4. Of course I'm reading your blog! I saw your instagram the other day about that scrapbooking kit thing you got from Michaels. What was it's name again? I might head there tomorrow and check it out. I've been doing that 1 Second A Day video app that Mitchell Davis did a few years back. So far I've been doing every day. Also do you have goodreads account? That might help make it fun for your reading challenge as they have one you can set up for yourself to keep track and you can organize your books and stuff. Just some suggestions. Also don't know why I'm commenting and not just texting you. Side note: After the past few years of you blogging I think I now want to start one. Seeing as I like to type and ramble. Okay off to make my own blog now!

    1. It's called Project Life! It's pricey to buy everything but when I got it the books themselves were 50% or 60% off and I had a 50% off coupon for 1 other item so that helped with the price. But it's really fun! A YouTuber I really like did a video about it, check it out on her channel here!

And I did make a reading challenge on GoodReads, I hope to make use of my account finally!

You should definitely start a blog!! Tweet me the link if you do :) it's a lot of fun!
