I got this NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in my
recent purchase from Nonpariel Boutique. It's my second SMLC from NYX that I've bought. I got it in the colour Monte Carlo.
If you're unfamilar with Soft Matte Lip Creams, they're a lip product that comes in a tube with a doe-foot applicator that apply much like a lip gloss, but dry completely matte! The applicator does make it easier to apply, though it can be a bit trickier to get clean lines with it so you have to be careful.
Monte Carlo is a cool-toned cherry red. Since these are completely matte, I like to exfoliate my lips and apply a lip balm before I apply the lip cream. These are quite drying on the lips, but not to the point where it's bothersome to me. If you aren't a fan of matte lips though, these definitely won't be for you.
I am a big fan of NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. They're fairly long lasting and you don't have to worry about getting lipstick smudges on your teeth once they dry! They also come in a good range of beautiful shades. These cost about $6.00, which is a pretty good price! And NYX products are often on sale on websites like Nonpariel Boutique and Cherry Culture.
