Mini Makeup Haul (Flea Market Finds + Lipstick!)

I recently went to the flea market again and got some pretty good deal on Revlon products! And the same day I went to the Superstore and picked up a Maybelline Vivids lipstick (finally)!

The first thing I got from the flea market is the Revlon PhotoReady bronzer in Bronzed & Chic.  I got this bronzer for only $5 CAD. This is a bronzer I've heard about quite a lot on YouTube, specifically from Amarixe and EmilyNoel83 (two of my favourites!). It's a matte bronzer with 4 different shades in it so you can choose how light or dark you want your bronzer to be! I just swirl all 4 shades together usually and apply it lightly since I am fair. It's a really nice bronzer though!

Next I picked up the Revlon ColorStay Blemish Concealer in 610 Fair which I also got for $5 CAD. I'm a big fan of the Revlon ColorStay line, especially the foundations, which is why I got this! I was also in need of a concealer, and with acne-prone skin hopefully this will help treat some of my blemishes! This concealer does have salicylic acid in it to treat blemishes as well. I've only used it a couple of times so far but from what I can tell, it has pretty good coverage and sits well on my skin!

The last thing I got at the flea market is the Revlon PhotoReady cream blush in Coral Reef, another Revlon product I got for only $5 CAD. I only have 1 cream blush so I don't have much experience with using them, so I thought I'd pick this up to experiment a bit more with cream blush! The colour is much sheerer than it looks in the pan but when blended out it's a beautiful sheer coral!

The same day I went to the Superstore and finally, finally, got one of the Maybelline Vivids lipsticks! I got it in the colour Shocking Coral and it was on sale for $7.50 CAD. I'm so glad to have finally bought one of these! I've worn it a few times already and it is such a gorgeous colour, is comfortable on the lips, and stays for so long! It is probably in my top 5 favourite lipsticks now for sure! I want to try out a couple more shades from this line now too!

That wraps it up for this little haul. If you've tried any of these products I'd love to hear your thoughts on them! And if you'd like to see more in-depth posts with swatches/reviews of any of these products let me know!

Products I've Used Up (#1)

I've noticed a lot of beauty bloggers and YouTubers doing posts/videos showing products they've used up along with mini reviews of the products so I saved up some of my products I've used to make a post of my own! I have quite a few products to share today and hopefully this is something I'll continue to do every month or every other month!

The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel - $8.00
This is a shower gel I've had sitting around for quite a while, so I finally decided to actually try and use it up! It smells delicious and lathers quite well. I didn't find it particularly moisturizing (compared to the Olay body wash I use most often), but it didn't irritate my skin whatsoever. I also didn't find the scent to linger on my skin, it was basically gone when I was out of the shower.
Would I repurchase? This wasn't a bad product overall, but I don't see myself repurchasing this.

Quo 100% Acetone - $3.99
This is just a nail polish remover that I used up! My sister actually originally bought this for herself, but she very rarely paints her nails so I ended up being the one to use most of it up! It works great and very easily removes nail polish! I had nothing wrong with it!
Would I repurchase? Maybe. I really did enjoy this remover but I just bought a 946mL bottle of Beauty Secrets Acetone from Sally's that I'm enjoying so far, so I think it'll be a while before I need a new bottle!

Kirkland Daily Facial Cleansing Towelettes - under $20 for 150 wipes
I'm not sure on the exact price of these wipes, but they're a great deal. It comes with 4 packs of 30 wipes, and 2 packs of 15 wipes. These are so great at removing all my makeup and I couldn't go a day without them. I use one every night to remove my face and eye makeup and it gets it all off. The towelettes are soft and pre-moistened so they're so easy to use! I love these!
Would I repurchase? I already have and I will continue to buy them over and over again!

Marcelle Face Powder in Translucent - $14.50
This is the second one of these powders that I've gone through and it really is a fantastic loose setting powder. I usually apply this over my entire face with a large duo-fibre brush to set my foundation. This powder does not go on cakey at all and gives my face a nice matte finish without looking powdery.
Would I repurchase? Yes I would! I'm currently trying out Rimmel Stay Matte powder for something different but I have no doubt I'll eventually buy this again!

Revlon Colorstay Foundation in 110 Ivory - $13.99
I have gone through multiple bottles of this foundation and will continue to use it for as long as possible! It's such a great foundation that has incredible lasting power!
Would I repurchase? Absolutely!

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation in Ivory - $14.99
When this foundation first came out I knew I had to try it since I love the original Colorstay foundation so much. I did enjoy this foundation but I still prefer the original Colorstay. It still did have the fantastic coverage and lasting power that the liquid foundation has, but as far as application goes I prefer the liquid over whipped!
Would I repurchase? Probably not.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in 110 Ivory - $11.99
I really liked using this foundation! It was easy to work with and had good coverage, but also felt light on my skin. This would've been a great summer foundation but it doesn't have SPF! That was the only down side to this foundation though. Aside from that I really enjoyed it.
Would I repurchase? Maybe. Not until summer is over though.

Maybelline One by One Volum Express Mascara - $9.00
This is the second tube of this mascara that I've gone through and once again I thoroughly enjoyed it. This mascara is great at adding volume and length, while also separating your lashes and not clumping! I think it's my favourite Maybelline Volum Express mascara!
Would I repurchase? Yes, definitely!

Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express - $9.00
I've heard a lot of praise for this mascara in the blogger/YouTube community but I didn't really get what all the hype was about when I used this! I don't know if it was the wand or the formula or both, but I didn't love this mascara as much as other drugstore mascaras I've tried.
Would I repurchase? Probably not.

Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in 021 Sun Light - $8.99
This is a fantastic matte bronzer. It's great to use for contouring or just to bronze up your skin. It doesn't come off orange or muddy and adds nice subtle colour! It's overall a fantastic bronzer!
Would I repurchase? Sure!

Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Eyeliner - $8.50
This is my holy grail liquid eyeliner. I've used this stuff for years and have used countless tubes of it up. It makes applying liquid eyeliner so easy, it's foolproof! It also lasts really well and doesn't smudge or flake off throughout the day. The only negative is that it isn't waterproof.
Would I repurchase? Yes, over and over.

Pantene Pro-V Moisture Renewal for Curly Hair Conditioner - $4.00
My mom accidentally bought this not realizing it's for curly hair, and being the only one in my family with natural curls she gave it to me! This conditioner was nice and moisturizing without being too heavy on my hair and I liked it overall!
Would I repurchase? Maybe.

L'Oreal Color Radiance Instant Miracle - $6.00
This product really is an instant miracle. I use this 1-2 times a week in place of conditioner and it really makes my hair soft and manageable! I really love it!
Would I repurchase? I already have!

Friday Favourites

How cute is the camera print and collar on this dress from ModCloth?

These hand painted signs are so lovely!

Brendon Urie (lead singer of Panic! at the Disco) recently got married and his and Sarah's wedding photos are all so beautiful.

The floral print on this skirt is so cute!

I'm so in love with this bag and will hopefully be purchasing it soon!

Sloths are just the cutest.

Last week I got to see and shoot Darren Criss and it was absolutely phenomenal. Check out my photos here if you'd like!

Nail of the Day: Neon Dots

I did this manicure for a contest that's being run by Shopper's Drug Mart right now! It's an interpretation of a look they did and I love how it came out! It was really simple to do as well! I used China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy for the main colour, Zoya Layla for the darker pink circles, and Barielle Do Unto Others for the teal dots!

Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale Haul!

This week Bath & Body Works had their semi-annual sale, so of course I had to go in to see what deals they had going! Last time I went to Bath & Body Works, there was a website at the bottom of my receipt to a survey I could do to get $10 off my next $30 purchase so I put that towards what I bought as well!

Along with my $10 off coupon, there were so many amazing deals! I got all of the things above, and my friend got a 3-wick candle with my purchase, and in total it cost under $30! I'll list the things I bought with their original prices and price I paid for them below!

1. Fine Fragrance Mist in Black Raspberry Vanilla | Original: $14.50 / Sale: $2.63
2. Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Fresh Picked Apple Blossoms | Original: $5.50 / Sale: $2.20
3. Triple Moisture Body Cream in Rio Rumberry | Original: $12.50 / Sale: $2.90
4. Berry Sangria PocketBac Hand Sanitizer | Original: $2.00 / Sale: $0.70
5. Peach Bellini 4oz. Candle | Original: $12.50 / Sale: $4.45
6. Apple Crumble 3-wick Candle | Original: $22.50 / Sale: $8.60

I'm so happy with all that I got! I almost wish I had picked up more things! I'm trying a lot of things that I haven't tried before as well with the frangrance mist, foaming soap, and triple moisture body cream! And everything smells delicious as well!

My Latest Makeup Addiction - Maybelline Color Tattoos!

Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadows have been one of the most talked about drugstore beauty products over the past year or so, and I've been wanting to try them for so long. A couple of weeks ago I finally bought my first one, and have very quickly added 2 more to my collection since!

The three shades I have are Bad to the Bronze, Barely Branded, and Bold Gold. These colours are all beautiful on their own, but they also go great together!

I absolutely love these. I'm usually not the biggest fan of cream eyeshadows, but these are so fantastic there's no way not to love them! They last for hours without creasing, smudging or fading, and the colours they come in are so beautiful!

They are all wonderfully pigmented and apply so smoothly. I like applying them with my finger, but would also apply them with a brush if I wanted them to be in more specific areas. I've found Bad to the Bronze to be a beautiful colour to wear all over the lid on its own!

I'm obsessed with these. Expect to see more in any future hauls I do because I only see my collection of them growing from here. I really want to get a couple of the brighter colours they come in too! What are some of your favourite Color Tattoos?

Nail of the Day: Darren Criss Listen Up Tour!

Tonight I'm going to Toronto to see Darren Criss in concert! He plays Blaine on Glee and also has original music that is fantastic. I'll be shooting the show as well and I can't wait! I did this manicure inspired by the tour!

Here's one of the photos I got a lot of inspiration from:

I used acrylic paint to do the designs of this manicure which I've never done before! It was a lot easier to work with than nail polish, but it doesn't dry as smooth and nice as nail polish. I'm still happy with the results though!

Aqualillies for Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eye and Cheek Palette (Photos + Review)

I recently got the new Aqualillies for Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eye and Cheek palette ($46 CAD) from Sephora! I've had my eye on it for a while so I decided to grab it before it was no longer available, since it is limited edition! I've been dying to try Tarte's Amazonian Clay 12-Hour blushes for forever since everyone in the beauty community raves about them so much, and this palette only cost $15 more than a blush on its own would cost, and the blush in this palette is the same size! So for an extra $15 I also got a bronzer, a highlight, and 6 eyeshadows (not to mention all in beautiful packaging)!

The palette came in a box that included a double-sided card showing two different makeup looks that can be created using the palette,

I can't get over how absolutely gorgeous the packaging of this palette is. It is mint green and coral (2 of my favourite colours ever) with gold throughout it, almost in a scale pattern! The palette is just bigger than the palm of my hand, about the size of a CD.

This palette includes:
  • Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in Captivating (a matte, warm peach)
  • Amazonian Clay highlight powder in Champagne
  • Amazonian Clay Mineral Powder matte bronzer in Park Ave Princess
  • Amazonian Clay eyeshadows in the shades Hammock (deep, matte brown), Bikini (peachy gold with pink duochrome), Barefoot (nude shimmer), Parasol (light champagne shimmer), Sundeck (matte light brown), and Poolside (turquoise shimmer).

Swatches L to R: Hammock, Bikini, Barefoot, Parasol, Sundeck, Poolside

Swatches L to R: Captivating blush, Park Ave Princess bronzer, Champagne highlight

All of the eyeshadows in this palette are very soft and smooth and easy to work with. They blend beautifully to create a variety of looks. The cheek products are absolutely amazing as well. The blush and bronzer give the face subtle warmth and the highlight brightens up my complexion and makes my skin glow. This is such a perfect palette for the summer time - or year round! I haven't tested these products in water, as they claim to be waterproof, but they do wear fantastically throughout the day!
