Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks: Swatches + Review!

I got a few of these Wet n Wild Megalast lipsticks recently after hearing so many amazing things about them. And they were only $1.99 each! I only got 3 this time but I'm sure I'll buy some more in the future because I love them already!

I got the colours Stoplight Red, Just Peachy, and Mauve Outta Here. These lipsticks are all matte, which I love. I wore Mauve Outta Here all day yesterday and I didn't find it to be too drying on my lips at all, and it barely needed to be touched up throughout the day (only after eating/drinking).

Stoplight Red is a blue-based red lipstick. I think this might even be my new favourite red lipstick, it's beautiful. I have also heard of it being compared to MAC's Ruby Woo lipstick!

Just Peachy is a really nice light pinky-peach lipstick. I think this colour will be great for everyday wear, and just overall a great nude lipstick! I like that it has a bit of pink to it so it doesn't 'erase' my lips too much.

Mauve Outta Here is a medium mauvey-pink shade. It's totally different from anything I own and that's why I got it! It's the most purple lipstick that I own and I really like it! It's pretty wearable too.

Overall I'm super impressed with these lipsticks. The only down side to them is their cheap packaging, but I can forgive them for that since there's such a fantastic product inside! I will definitely be purchasing more of these lipsticks in the future!

Pros:
• Low price
• Very pigmented
• Great colour selection
• Not too drying on the lips
• Good lasting power

Cons:
• Hard to find in Canadian stores
• Cheap packaging

Have you tried these Wet n Wild lipsticks? What were your thoughts on them, I'd love to know!

Nail of the Day: I Need A Refresh-Mint

This is one of the nail polishes I got in the mail yesterday. It's a Wet n Wild Megalast nail polish in I Need A Refresh-Mint. It's a creamy pastel blue with a touch of mint green. I really love this colour! It took two coats, and with the wide brush it applied really easily. And this polish was only $1.99!

NYX and Wet n Wild Haul!

A few weeks ago I made an order from Nonpariel Boutique online to get some NYX and Wet n Wild products I've been wanting! It's hard to find NYX in Canada, and some Wet n Wild products I wanted to try I couldn't find here as well.

I'll have swatches of all of these up in the next week or so!

The first thing I ordered, and the main reason I made the order, was to try out Wet n Wild Megalast lipsticks! I've heard some pretty great things about these lipsticks, and I've been wanting to expand my lipstick collection, so for $1.99/ea. I got a few! The colours I got (L to R) are Just Peachy, Mauve Outta Here, and Stoplight Red.

Next I got another NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. I have one of these in Sao Paolo and I absolutely love it, so I picked up another one in the shade Monte Carlo for $6.

I don't really have a reason for why I got these, other than I really couldn't help myself. I got these for $2/ea. in the colours On A Trip and I Need A Refresh-Mint.

This I really don't have an excuse for either, other than "it's so pretty"! This is a NYX Glitter Mania loose glitter in Disco Ball. This probably won't get much use to be honest, but for only $3 I really couldn't say no.

And last, I finally got myself a red lip pencil! I've heard multiple times that a red lip pencil is the key to a perfect, long-lasting red lip, so I got this NYX one in Plush Red for $1.50.

Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts on them?

Nail of the Day: It's Peach, Not Cherry

This is the nail polish I got from the Essence Cherry Blossom Girl collection. It's in the shade "It's Peach Not Cherry". This took 2-3 coats to go opaque. I am in love with this colour. I do have a lot of peachy/coral nail polishes, but I think this one is more peach than any others in my collection. I have a feeling this will be on my nails a ton this spring and summer.

Essence Cherry Blossom Girl Lipstick Pencil in 01 Cherry Cherry Girl: Review + Swatches

I've been curious to try out Essence products for a while now and this week when I was at Shoppers Drug Mart I noticed a new display with a few Essence products in it! The display was for their new Cherry Blossom Girl line. The display was pretty much empty with only a shimmer powder, a few nail polishes, and two lip pencils left in it, so I got one of the lip pencils and a nail polish! I'll do a Nail of the Day post with the nail polish I got sometime soon!

I got a lipstick pencil in the colour 01 Cherry Cherry Girl. If I remember correctly it was around $2.50.

I really like how the packaging matches the colour of the lipstick. It's a gorgeous, bright orangey-coral with a matte finish. I've been curious to try out an orange lipstick too, so I was pretty excited to try this out!

When I swatched it, it glided onto my skin really smoothly and had fantastic colour payoff! I was really impressed with how pigmented this product was.

I exfoliated my lips and applied lip balm before applying the lipstick pencil. It went on my lips smoothly, but it was a bit tricky to get the colour even. It's also mildly irritating on the lips. I'm not sure what it is, but it almost makes my lips feel similar to the way a plumping lipgloss would. I could probably wear this for a couple hours at a time, but I don't see this being a product I'll wear for a full day.

Overall I really like the colour of this lipstick pencil and I'm glad I finally tried out something from Essence!

Pros:
• Price
• Pigmented
• Glides on smoothly

Cons:
• Tricky to get even application
• Mildly irritating on the lips

Have you tried any products from Essence? What are your thoughts on them?

Nail of the Day: Text Me

A Sally's Beauty Supply opened really close to me recently so I went there to check it out last week. I ended up only getting a few of the mini Sally Girl nail polishes. I got two glitter polishes and the polish below!

This is the shade "Text Me". It's a gorgeous shimmery dark green and I love it. I had nothing like this in my collection before so I'm really glad I picked this up. And these mini nail polishes are less than $2 each!

Flea Market + LUSH Haul + Swatches

Today I went to the flea market and mall with my mom for a bit and picked up a few things! Two of the things I got today were on my February Wishlist too so I'm quite excited!

L'Oreal Color Radiance Detangler & Shampoo
I got these two products from the L'Oreal Color Radiance line from the flea market for $3 each. I have the Instant Miracle treatment from this line and I absolutely love it, and I was in need of a new detangler and shampoo so I figured I'd give these a try!

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub
I am so excited that I finally got this! I've been hearing so many great things about it for the past few months, so today I made sure go to to LUSH and get it! It's also my very first purchase from LUSH! This lip scrub cost $9.95.

L'Oreal Colour Infallible Eye Shadow in 005 Purple Obsession
This is the 2nd thing I got that was also on by February Wishlist! I got this from the flea market as well and it was only $3! They were only selling two shades of these eye shadows though, and I didn't like the other one very much so I got this one! I've also been wanting a nice deep purple eye shadow so this one is perfect! I can't wait to try it out.

Revlon Colorstay Nail Polish & Eye Shadow Quad
At the flea market I go to, they sell Revlon Colorstay bonus packs that include a nail polish and a quad for $5! I've gotten one in the past, and I couldn't pass up this great deal this time so I got another one! The nail polish is in Wild Strawberry and the quad is in Siren. I have two other of these Colorstay quads in Adventurous and Addictive and I love them!
The shadows in this quad are gorgeous. The first three shades are shimmery, and the fourth one is matte. There is a shimmery silver, a deeper shimmery gray, a shimmery light taupe, and a deep matte charcoal. The matte shade in this quad is by far my favourite. It went on so smooth when I swatched it and I feel like I'll get a ton of use out of it. These swatches were done without any primer.

I'm really excited with my purchases I made today and I can't wait to try out these products! And there were so many great deals as well today. I only spent about $25 on everything in total!
